Fortunate Ones


Fortunate Ones is a collection of short films that have the same theme: When you get what you wish for it’s not always what you want. Every wish granted comes with a price as the characters in each movie learn, sometimes too late.

Emily is a lonely little girl whose single mother works two jobs, and Emily spends her time pretending she’s a fairy princess and wondering what being a fairy would really be like. One day she does meet a real fairy who offers to take her away from the mortal world, but not all faeries are like the ones in the story books.

Samantha and Ray are strangers who wake up tied together in a dark basement neither one has ever seen. Things get stranger when the unconscious girl in the corner wakes up and discovers that her wish to be with the love of her life forever is not exactly a fairy tale romance.

Magic 8

Heather is unemployed and looking for direction in her life. When her friend Cathy jokingly gives her a Magic 8 ball for her birthday to “answer all her questions”, she thinks it’s funny and plays along. But when the 8 ball answers start coming true Heather isn’t sure what to think. Could the ball really be Magic or is she going insane?

When two lovers – Jack and Bethany – have a huge argument and vow they wouldn’t get back together even if the other was the last person on earth, little did they know that a tragic apocalypse would put that vow to the test.  What happens when your ex is the last man/woman alive on the planet and the survival of the human race depends on the two of you?
