Sine Fine Films is an
independent video production group founded and operated by Eleanore Stasheff.
Other co-founding members are Annamarie MacLeod, Jen Weber, Tanino Minneci,
Jacob MacLeod, and Jill Hutchison.
The company began in 1996
during the filming of its first video movie: Destiny. The movie (and thus the
company) began life in a cornfield as a Choose Your Own Adventure-style game
among the founding members, who were friends who met during theater productions
and had formed a dancing troupe called the Gypsy Wanderers.

about how it all began, check out this video from SFF’s Stick Figure Theater.
Sine Fine Films was
originally called Starlight Productions,
however the name was changed due to the fact that the name Starlight Productions is already trademarked by another group. So a
new name had to be chosen. It went through several iterations, including Erion
Entertainment and Traldon Productions, before arriving at Sine Fine Films. Sine
Fine (pronounced sin finay) is Latin for Without End, referencing Eleanore’s
tendency to do “just one more” episode or film, ever promising it is to be her
last. Luckily, no one ever believes her.
In June of 2016, Sine
Fine Films celebrated its 20th year as a production company.
Today Sine Fine Films continues producing short films with
over one hundred members and a collection of 12 video movies, 6 television
mini-series, and 27 short films.
